Mandovi Blues. Jan 2025
Today, I was filming in the upper reaches of the Mandovi River. Ganjem is the furthest point of the tidal influence on the river – the point where the river ceases to be saline. Upward, the waters are fresh. This was also the location of a port a few centuries ago where boats from the coastal regions would bring salt and other valuable items to be sold in the lands further inland.
