Day 5 of 365: Going Nowhere

Once the river is crossed, the boat becomes a burden we leave behind and walk onward. Old Goa. Jan 2024

One more from my trip to Old Goa. I came across this old upturned boat that most certainly abandoned. In zen philosophy, its said, we each use the boat to cross the river. But once the river is crossed, the boat is useless for our onward journey and so we leave it behind and walk on.

I’m hoping to leave my many boats behind and declutter my life this year.
